The Albanese Government has been returned to office with an increased majority – and an easier path to getting legislation through the Senate. Unlike 2022, Labor’s election platform was light on major policy commitments, beyond a crackdown on the use of non-compete clauses to restrain post-employment activities. But there will undoubtedly be pressure from the union movement and the Greens to develop a new reform agenda.
Join Professor Andrew Stewart and partners from Piper Alderman’s national employment relations team as they analyse what Labor has promised, identify the most likely areas for new policy development, and review what is still to come from the major changes set in motion during Labor’s first term.
