Vicky is a Special Counsel based in our Sydney office specialising in commercial litigation and disputes. She is a highly experienced litigator with two decades experience gained in private and government practice.
Vicky acts for corporations, Government departments and major construction and engineering contractors across many industries in a wide range of commercial, corporate and construction disputes. She has advised on several complex and long-running disputes in relation to large public infrastructure projects and corporate disputes.
Vicky provides strategic advice on corporate disputes including shareholder disputes and directors’ conduct cases; development, construction and engineering disputes and defective building claims including insurance and regulatory aspects; and judicial review and claims arising from government decisions.
Vicky’s practice includes acting for Government, defending ministerial and cabinet decisions, statutory interpretation and seeking review of government decisions particularly in relation to government procurement and contract cases.
She also has significant experience advising on general insurance aspects of contractor and commercial policy coverage and indemnity issues and providing significant legal and policy advice including recommendations on the impact and validity of schemes of contracting and indemnity arrangements for major projects.
Vicky is recognised for providing strategic advice and proactively managing and resolving litigated and contested matters, including identifying and managing liability and risk. Having worked both in-house and in private practice, she has a unique understanding of what her clients want and their commercial objectives.
