Sven Bluemmel was appointed as the inaugural Victorian Information Commissioner in September 2017. He previously served as Western Australian Information Commissioner and has held senior positions in the Western Australian and Commonwealth public sectors. Mr Bluemmel previously practised law in the private sector in Melbourne and Perth in the areas of information and privacy law. He is a fellow of Leadership Western Australia and served as President of the Institute of Public Administration in Western Australia for three years.

Rebecca has spent the last 20 years working with fast growth, innovative based ASX companies in the MedTech, life science, CleanTech and FinTech sectors providing advice on stakeholder communications, issues management, investor and corporate relations, and business strategy to private and public companies, research institutes, governments, and asset managers. Among her roles, Rebecca is Chair of Alcidion Ltd (ASX: ALC), a leading provider of software solutions for high performance healthcare.

Craig is an intellectual property and technology lawyer with expertise in all facets of IT contracting and procurement, including advising on competitive procurement processes and the preparation and negotiation of supply and service contracts, such as anything-as-a-service, agile software development, hardware supply and maintenance contracts and managed services arrangements. He has also worked with clients to develop terms of use for electronic commerce platforms.

Craig is experienced in data security and information privacy matters, such as preparing privacy and credit reporting policies, employee procedures and data breach response plans, as well as delivery of privacy training. Craig has a broad knowledge of Victorian and Commonwealth privacy laws, as well as the GDPR. Craig has advised a number of clients on compliance with the mandatory data breach notification requirements under the Privacy Act, including whether a data breach is notifiable and the preparation of notifications and applications for exemption from notification requirements.

As a registered trade mark attorney, he has routinely advised and represented clients in relation to intellectual property protection, commercialisation and enforcement. Craig has worked with clients to recognise and protect their valuable intellectual property assets, including identifying those assets and taking steps to protect the assets through registration (if available). He has prepared and negotiated commercialisation agreements, including licence agreements, collaboration agreements and research and development agreements.

Michael is a highly respected technology specialist with more than 15 years of experience in Computer Forensics, Technology Investigations, Information Management and Electronic Discovery. He partners with clients to proactively and reactively manage technology and information risk and prides himself on cultivating trusted relationships which are underpinned by a collaborative and personalised focus.

An experienced corporate lawyer, Lis advises listed and private companies, multinationals, and not-for-profit organisations on their structure, governance, operations and strategy.  Her clients appreciate her commitment to building long term relationships and understanding their culture and strategy so as to deliver timely, thoughtful and practical advice.

Lis’s strong focus on Life Sciences and Healthcare is reflected in her appointment as deputy chair of AusBiotech’s AusMedtech Advisory Group, and as a member of AusBiotech’s State Committee for NSW.   Lis has also actively participated in AusBiotech industry projects including AusBiotech’s Guide for Directors of Life Sciences Companies, AusBiotech’s Guide for Investors in Life Sciences Companies and pitching workshops for Life Sciences CEOs.  She enjoys being a “connector” between people in her network, to strengthen the Australian life sciences ecosystem.
