Piper Alderman invites you to the first session in our new ‘Taxing Times’ – Tax Law Webinar Series, starting with a practical Key Tax Cases update.
In this webinar we will unpack key findings from recent case law and what they mean in practice with a focus on those of significance for the mid-market and family groups. We will maintain flexibility in content for decisions published prior to the seminar and will of course include Bendel if published.
Cases and areas covered will include cases concerning:
- pre-CGT assets and retention of that status
- intra-group restructures, CGT rollovers, Div 45B, dividend stripping and anti-avoidance
- trust distributions and trust resettlements
- limitations (and breadth) of the Commissioner’s debt recovery powers
- the perennial issues including capital/income, substantiation and some of the newcomers including the place of AI in litigation. The session will focus on commercially relevant insights and will include Q&A.
Who should attend:
- Accountants and tax advisers
- In-house legal and tax teams
- CFOs, finance managers, and senior decision makers
- Professionals involved in managing tax risk and ATO engagement
This content is available on demand; however, registration is still required to access the recording.
| The presentation is open to all organisations, excluding other legal service providers. |
