Alasdair has over 20 years’ experience providing strategic and timely advice to a range of public and private clients in the areas of corporate and commercial law.

His practice covers corporate advisory, acquisitions and disposals, capital raising (both in public and private markets), corporate structuring and re-structures, corporate governance, collective investment arrangements (including managed investment funds, joint ventures and other strategic alliances), financial services (including the licensing and regulation of financial products and financial service providers), commercialisation of intellectual property, private equity and venture capital investments, and general commercial contracts.

Alasdair has significant cross border and direct foreign investment experience, having worked in Australia, Europe and North America.  He has been awarded a First Class Honours degree in Law from the Australian National University, and a Master of Laws from the University of Sydney and is recognised for his expertise in a number of legal guides, including The Legal 500 Asia-Pacific.

Rebecca Taube is Deputy General Counsel in RMIT University’s legal team, supporting the Online, Industry Engagement, Education and Compliance and Risk portfolios, as well as RMIT Activator, the university’s entrepreneurial start-up incubator.

When she’s not conjuring up legal magic, Rebecca is a guest speaker at RMIT for students on intellectual property and start up business structures and governance.

David has more than 20 years’ experience in health, including in private practice, at the Victorian Department of Health and at the Federal Court of Australia. He was formerly a management consultant working in corporate strategy and health regulation, with projects in corporate reorganisation and consumer protection in the NDIS.
