We are delighted to invite you to the next webinar in our R&D Tax Webinar Series for 2025 – a series where we will share our perspectives and experience as tax lawyers on issues in the R&D tax incentive space.

Whilst contracts are usually binding there are circumstances in which they are not. In this seminar we will explore some of those later circumstances, including discussion and consideration around:

  • the differences between written contracts entered into prospectively and retrospectively and between contracts that are wholly in writing and those which are not;
  • the general anti-avoidance provisions, which are increasingly being raised as a counter argument in R&D audits and about which there has been considerable litigation over the last two years; and
  • circumstances of sham and fraud.

Who should attend: This webinar series is designed primarily for R&D advisors and accountants advising in the R&D space.

These webinars could also be of interest to entities that claim, or wish to claim, the R&D tax incentive also.

The workshop is open to all organisations, excluding other legal service providers.
