Kerry is a financial services lawyer with significant experience in a broad range of financial services and commercial matters having spent several years in firm roles, multi-disciplinary legal practice and in-house legal practice.
As an experienced financial services lawyer, Kerry regularly advises clients on legal and regulatory requirements of varying complexity including those in relation to compliance with all aspects of the Superannuation Industry (Supervision) Act 1993 (Cth) (SIS Act) and associated regulations, the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth), APRA prudential standards and ASIC regulatory guidance.
Kerry also provides advice in relation to insurance in superannuation, registrable superannuation entity (RSE) and Australian financial services (AFS) licence obligations, corporate governance, commercial law, privacy, fraud and cybercrime and anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing (AML/CTF) obligations, including performing independent reviews of AML/CTF programs.
Kerry is a regulator contributor to the Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia’s (ASFA’s) continuing professional development webinars and publications for superannuation trustees, SuperCPD and SuperCPD Trustee, on topical regulatory issues such as upcoming regulatory reforms, cloud outsourcing, fraud, cybercrime, AML/CTF, privacy, dispute resolution and APRA Prudential Standard SPS 515 Strategic Planning and Member Outcomes.
