Kerry is an experienced financial services lawyer having spent several years in firm roles, multi-disciplinary legal practice and in-house legal practice.
Kerry regularly advises financial services clients on legal and regulatory requirements including:
- the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth) and AFS licensee obligations;
- APRA prudential standards;
- ASIC Act consumer protections and ASIC regulatory guidance;
- AML/CTF (including independent reviews of AML/CTF programs); and
- Privacy.
Kerry also provides advice in relation to corporate governance, commercial arrangements including product distribution arrangements, advertising and marketing, and fraud and cybercrime.
Kerry is a regulator contributor to the Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia’s (ASFA’s) continuing professional development webinars and publications for superannuation trustees, SuperCPD and SuperCPD Trustee, on topical financial services regulatory issues such as recent and upcoming regulatory reforms, APRA and ASIC enforcement, greenwashing, dispute resolution, fraud, cybercrime, privacy and AML/CTF.
