Piper Alderman secures settlement for Redarc Electronics in IP infringement proceedings

Piper Alderman, a national law firm, is proud to have represented its client, Redarc Electronics Pty Ltd (Redarc), in Federal Court proceedings against Australian Mobile Radio Pty Ltd, trading as Redfleet.

The matter, which commenced trial on 21 October 2025, settled on the second day of trial. Redfleet has agreed to public acknowledgements of copyright infringement, trade mark infringement, and contraventions of the Australian Consumer Law. Redfleet also undertook to cease particular conduct and pay Redarc a substantial amount as compensation and costs.

The Piper Alderman team was led by Intellectual Property expert and Deputy Managing Partner Tim O’Callaghan and Special Counsel Travis Shueard, supported by Associate Laura Coppola and Law Graduate Zara Cox.
