
Piper Alderman’s Emerging Growth & Venture Capital team advises Morse Micro on $88 million Series C venture financing

Piper Alderman, an Australian national law firm, is pleased to announce that its new Emerging Growth and Venture Capital team have advised Morse Micro on its $88 million Series C venture funding round.
Morse Micro is Australia’s largest semiconductor manufacturer and a leading supplier of low power, long range wireless chips. The round was led by MegaChips Corporation, a Japanese semiconductor manufacturer, with participation from the National Reconstruction Fund (NRF). The round was also supported by Blackbird Ventures, Main Sequence Ventures, Uniseed, Ray Stata, Startmate, Malcolm and Lucy Turnbull and a number of institutional investors, including Hostplus, NGS and UniSuper, bringing the company’s total venture funding to over $290 million to date.
The Piper Alderman deal team comprised of Partners Richard Horton and Olena Brodovska, Associates Lachlan Hallab and Emma Connolly and lawyer Olivia Kelleher.
