Libby Day is the CEO of the Defence Teaming Centre, where she leads efforts to support Australia’s defence industry. She has a strong background in strategic development, compliance, and fostering industry collaboration, focusing on defence trade and innovation. Libby is recognised for her efforts in supporting businesses to navigate complex regulatory environments and advancing Australia’s defence capabilities.

Jessica Rankin is an experienced legal professional specialising in export controls and compliance within the defence sector. She has extensive knowledge of the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and related defence trade controls, helping businesses navigate complex regulatory landscapes. Jessica is known for her practical, strategic approach to ensuring compliance while supporting industry growth and innovation.

Travis is a Senior Associate in the firm’s Intellectual Property and Technology team, working alongside Tim O’Callaghan.

Travis works primarily in litigation and dispute resolution, and brings experience in trade mark, patent and copyright disputes in most Australian jurisdictions. He is an experienced commercial litigator and has advised defence contractors, national food and beverage retailers, international mining tools suppliers, financial service providers and SMEs on how to protect their intellectual property rights.

Travis has a strong background in consumer law, contract and directors’ liabilities disputes, and has acted in high profile South Australian decisions. Travis has the well-rounded experience and knowledge needed to advocate for clients and resolve disputes commercially, including advocacy experience in the Federal Circuit Court, Federal Court and all South Australian courts.

Travis has a keen interest in the Defence industry, and is a current serving board member of the Defence Teaming Centre, one of Australia’s leading defence industry advocacy bodies.  He is particularly interested in International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), and has presented seminars to defence industry leaders on this topic.

He is also a tutor at both the University of Adelaide and University of South Australia Law Schools, where he teaches intellectual property and contract law.  He also regularly contributes to Law Society publications, committees and seminars.

Tim assist clients in intellectual property protection and portfolio management including filing trade mark applications, oppositions and removal proceedings and manages both the litigious and commercial aspects of intellectual property protection.

Tim enjoys helping organisations formulate intellectual property related business strategies and planning and implementing strategies and tactics through special projects. He develops a good rapport with client’s key people, helping them understand the implications of intellectual property issues and assisting them in initiating and developing best practice models for intellectual property management.

Tim addresses clients and interest groups on the issues involved in the management and protection of knowledge, ideas and other intellectual property assets.
