ADELAIDE EVENT | ‘Beat the Clock’ 2023 – Bullying, Discrimination and Harassment | Bullying, Discrimination & Harassment as psychosocial hazards at work

Event Location: Piper Alderman, Franklin Street, Adelaide SA, Australia

Event date: 22 February 2023

Time: 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Timezone: UTC +10:30 ACDT

CPD points: Bullying, Discrimination and Harassment (CPD: 1 Point)

Psychosocial hazards at work can arise for a variety of reasons and are very likely to be the cause of psychological and physical harm to employees and liability-related issues for an employer. For this reason, the issues of bullying, discrimination and harassment should be approached in a proactive manner, both behaviourally and also from a work health and safety perspective.

In this session, we will cover:

  • The differences between bullying, discrimination and harassment, and identifying these unlawful behaviours;
  • How the behaviours can create significant workplace/psychosocial hazards;
  • Common causes and known risk factors for these psychosocial hazards in the workplace; and
  • What businesses should do to manage these risks.

This session will be relevant for anyone in an inhouse counsel or risk management role.
