Louise Gehrig is a highly experienced litigator with more than 20 years’ experience in litigation and dispute resolution in corporate and commercial law, trust and estate litigation, particularly at Supreme and Federal Court level.
Louise’s areas of expertise include property and commercial disputes, Australian Consumer Law including unconscionable conduct, misleading and deceptive conduct in business, defective product claims, insurance indemnity disputes, wills, estates and trust disputes, insolvency and banking and finance litigation.
Louise has and continues to work in a wide variety of industry sectors ranging from property including rural to industrial and professional services.
She has built a reputation in the market for being an astute, straight talking litigator, who focuses on achieving practical, commercial outcomes. She has acted for a range of institutional and private clients from both a plaintiff and defendant side.
Louise also has a keen interest in elder abuse and has worked on a variety of pro bono claims defending seniors’ rights and is a member of the Victorian Law Institutes Succession Law Committee. She also has an interest in the sports, entertainment and hospitality industries, having acting for an AFL Club and also a hotel operator in Victoria’s Hotel Quarantine Inquiry.
