Mareli is a dual qualified and admitted lawyer, having been admitted in both South Africa and Western Australia. Mareli has experience working at top tier commercial law firms in Sandton, Johannesburg and more recently Perth, WA.
Mareli’s recent experience includes advising clients in the energy, education, food, retail, agriculture, aged care and property sectors on private mergers and acquisitions, corporate contracts, general corporate and commercial matters, Australian Consumer Law focused terms, and energy and resources matters with a focus on renewables and electricity. Mareli also recently completed a corporate secondment to an electricity corporation in Perth in which role she acted as a Senior Legal Counsel, working closely with various business units within the corporation, providing general contract drafting and reviews, contract advisory and dispute resolution services.
Mareli previously advised on corporate tax (including tax litigation) and commercial litigation matters.
