Philip is an Adjunct Professor of Law at the University of Notre Dame and a Consultant to Piper Alderman.
He was a commercial litigation partner, specialising in insolvency litigation and advice, for over 30 years in international, national and Sydney commercial law firms including Piper Alderman.
He was annually rated as one of Australia’s leading insolvency legal practitioners by Chambers Global and Chambers Asia-Pacific. He was the instructing solicitor in numerous landmark cases.
Philip has lectured extensively on insolvency law, including as a part-time lecturer in Insolvency Law at the University of Notre Dame and the College of Law Masters of Applied Litigation degree. He was formerly an editor of the Australian Law Reports.
Philip was a member of the Law Council of Australia’s Insolvency and Reconstruction Committee for over 25 years and was on the Legal Committee of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
