Piper Alderman strengthens national real estate practice with new Melbourne partner

John Wu joins national law firm, Piper Alderman, as a real estate partner in its Melbourne office.

John is a leading property lawyer, representing clients in Australia and Asia, with a focus on property acquisitions, development, finance, leasing and management, assisting overseas clients with foreign investment rules and cross-border joint ventures.

Commenting on his decision to join Piper Alderman, John said:

During his legal career, John has represented a variety of clients with managing significant projects and investments, including commercial offices, shopping centres, hotels, entertainment precincts, mixed-use properties as well as residential and commercial developments.

Prior to commencing legal practice in 2012, John worked in taxation at Deloitte.  John is also a NAATI certified Chinese translator and interpreter.

John joins the national real estate team in Melbourne with senior practitioners Carlyna Chhen, Greg Taylor and Gordon Bell.  The national team led by Mark Askin and Adam Rinaldi, now boasts 12 real estate partners across the firm.
