Piper Alderman advised the hotels and hospitality arm of investment manager, Duxton, on the acquisition of an independent craft brewer, Little Bang Brewing, from its founders in a cash deal as a part of the expansion of Duxton Pubs’ rapidly growing portfolio.

A long-time client of the firm, Duxton is based in South Australia and has established itself as a leading boutique asset manager with a focus that includes Agriculture, Equities and Hospitality.

The Piper Alderman deal team worked closely with the Duxton Pubs on the buy-side legal aspects of the transaction, including due diligence, contract negotiation and completion. The deal sees the founders’ continuing involvement in the business and will bring natural synergies for expansion for Little Bang Brewing and its beer lines. Piper Alderman’s continuous partnership with Duxton eased the process of midwifing the deal.
