Millie has worked in Piper Alderman’s dispute resolution and litigation team since 2018. She has been involved in a range of commercial disputes, for both claimants and defendants, across a range of industries, in the District Court of New South Wales, the Supreme Court of New South Wales and the Federal Court of Australia. She advises regularly on contractual obligations and remedies for breach, as well as breaches of legislation, including the Competition and Consumer Act (including the Australian Consumer Law) and the Corporations Act.
Millie’s class action experience includes acting for representatives in shareholder class actions and financial services actions, and a respondent in a class action alleging misleading or deceptive conduct in relation to an animal health product. She has provided advice for clients, both within Australia and overseas, on litigation funding agreements and the class action landscape in Australia.
Millie regularly prepares articles for the LexisNexis Competition and Consumer Law News and for the last four years has contributed to Lexology’s litigation funding publication ‘Getting the Deal Through’.
