Daniel Fitzpatrick is an experienced projects, construction and infrastructure lawyer with over 18 years of experience providing advising principals, developers, builders, owners and contractors in respect of infrastructure, residential, industrial and commercial developments.

Daniel specialises in advising clients in relation to construction disputes across litigation and the suite of alternative dispute resolution process ranging from arbitration, security of payment, expert determination and mediation, as well as negotiations more generally. Daniel regularly assists clients with claims in relation to defects, delays and contract law issues in the Supreme and District courts as well as the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal, and also runs interstate matters. Further, as experienced preparer and an accredited adjudicator in NSW, Victoria, ACT, SA and WA Daniel has particular expertise in prosecuting (for claimants) and or defending (for respondents) complex security of payment disputes and consequential litigation and enforcement processes.

Daniel also has an active front end practice, having advised on and negotiated a wide range of development, construction and consultancy agreements and tendering documents across a wide range of projects including large remediation projects, commercial and residential developments, commercial fit-outs, shopping centre refurbishments, civil works, electrical and facade works and sale of strata schemes. His disputes knowledge makes him uniquely placed to advise on issues as to risk, liability and the negotiation of departures including market expectations and commercial considerations in a tender/procurement process.
