Unfair Contract Terms – New reforms in effect from 9 November 2023

Changes to the laws that restrict the use of ‘unfair’ contract terms come into effect on 9 November 2023. From that date, a broader range of contracts will be caught and more severe consequences may apply.

Businesses that use standard form contracts as part of their operations should undertake a review of their contracts in order to manage the risks imposed by the reforms.
