Jamin primarily practises in intellectual property and technology with a wide experience in relation to both Australian and overseas intellectual property prosecution, protection, management and commercialisation. He regularly advises on intellectual property matters (both contentious and non-contentious), including strategy, registration, licensing, assignment, commercialisation and other transactions and enforcement of intellectual property rights. He also has significant experience in IT contracts including software licensing, software support, software-as-a service, master service agreements and IT services agreements.
Jamin assists clients, both public and private sector clients in relation to privacy and data protection requirements, including regulatory obligations relating to health and personal information, at a State and Territory level, Federal level and internationally.
He frequently advises a range of organisations including large private companies, listed ASX companies, clinical research organisations, universities, research institutions and medical device and pharmaceutical companies in relation to intellectual property, regulatory compliance, privacy, commercialisation and research collaboration arrangements.
Jamin also has a broad general commercial practice spanning a range of industries and sectors and regularly advises on competition and consumer protection matters, including liaising with the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission.
