Resolution Minerals Ltd (Resolution Minerals) is an ASX-listed mineral exploration and development company focused on precious and base metals such as gold, copper, iron ore, cobalt and vanadium.

A key aspect of Resolution Minerals’ strategy is maintaining a diversified exploration portfolio and an opportunity arose for Resolution Minerals to acquire up to an 80% interest in gold assets within the Tintina gold province in Alaska, United States of America, from Millrock Resources Inc (an entity listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange), enabling the company to diversify its exploration portfolio away from copper and cobalt to gold and was therefore considered a significant strategic opportunity for the business.

Given the strategic importance of the transaction, involving cross-border acquisition issues, ASX listing rule considerations and foreign investment review board hurdles, Piper Alderman was well-placed to leverage its capital markets and resources experience to provide Resolution Minerals with holistic advice on the transaction.
