Takeover bid for a farmers’ consortium
Piper Alderman acted for BBHO, a consortium of all-Australian bidders, for a takeover bid of $386m for S. Kidman & Co.
BBHO is a group of Australian cattle grazers that made a bid of $386m for S. Kidman & Co. The Group comprised four Australian families who collectively placed their cards on the table. The families had a significant interest in agriculture, named the Buntine, Brinkworth, Harris, and Oldfield families. Piper Alderman was proud to act for the consortium after they announced their bid. The bid was conducted in a competitive environment under tight timeframes. As a result, it was the subject of heightened public interest and scrutiny.
Piper Alderman has vast experience managing commercial and corporate deals, including mergers and acquisitions.
