Piper Alderman assists Epiroc acquire leading provider of mining automation services

Piper Alderman has advised Epiroc on its acquisition of Remote Control Technologies (RCT), a leading global provider of automation, information and protection system solutions in the mining industry.
RCT, headquartered in Perth, Australia, has customers in more than 70 countries. Â The company provides automation and remote-control solutions applicable for either a single machine or an entire mixed fleet of machines regardless of manufacturer or type of equipment. Â RCT also provides data and information systems, fleet and machine management systems, and machine protection systems.
Helena Hedblom, Epiroc’s President and CEO said:

Partner, Paul Sartori, led the Piper Alderman team, with support from Associate, Egor Serov and Lawyer, Charlotte Boston. The team advised Epiroc on all aspects of the transaction, including preliminary negotiations, regulatory, due diligence, drafting and negotiating the transaction documents, and addressing various cross-border elements of the deal. A multidisciplinary team, including intellectual property, real estate, tax and regulatory, also provided legal support.
