Profile

Tony has extensive experience in commercial and corporate litigation, especially intellectual property, tax and competition and consumer litigation.

He acts for clients in the electricity, mining, education, telecommunications, media and medical sectors. Matters he has been involved in include claims relating to consumer protection and restrictive trade practices, review of Government decisions, corporate disputes, intellectual property advice and litigation, and a range of contractual financing and land disputes advice and litigation.

Tony has advised many of Piper Alderman’s clients on competition and consumer law compliance as well as providing programs and training, and on competition issues arising out of the substantial mergers and acquisitions.

In 2012, Tony was recognised in the Queen’s Birthday Honours as a recipient of the Member of the Order of Australia for his service to the law and to the legal profession, through policy development and reform roles with professional organisations, and to the disability sector through the Multiple Sclerosis Society of South Australia.
