Travis is a Special Counsel in the firm’s Intellectual Property and Technology team, working alongside Tim O’Callaghan.

Travis is an experienced intellectual property litigator, advising on disputes relating to trade marks, patents, copyright and registered designs, as well as trade mark prosecution, oppositions and consumer law. Travis has acted in leading intellectual property cases and is recognised for his strategic approach to complex disputes. His clients span a diverse range of industries, including defence contractors, national food and beverage retailers, international mining tools suppliers, financial service providers and universities.

He is an emerging leader in the field of artificial intelligence, and has been invited by government, the defence industry and tertiary institutions to contribute to policy and thought leadership in this space.

Travis is also deeply engaged in the defence industry and is a current serving board member of the Defence Teaming Centre, a prominent defence industry body. He has a strong interest in export controls, including the Defence Trade Controls Act 2012 (Cth) and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), advising defence industry clients on these regulatory frameworks.

In addition to his legal practice, Travis tutors at Adelaide University, where he assists with intellectual property. He is also a regular contributor to Law Society publications, committees and seminars.
