Piper Alderman advises on Series B equity raise for aerospace engineering company

Piper Alderman has advised AMSL Innovations Pty Ltd on its Series B equity funding round, as the company continues to develop its “Vertiia” electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft.

AMSL Innovations is an aeronautical engineering company that is developing an electric vertical take‑off and landing aircraft, proposing a new mode of safe, affordable and energy efficient transport for passengers.

With support from the St Baker Energy Innovation Fund, IP Group Australia, TelstraSuper and HostPlus in the Series B Round, AMSL will use the funding to propel the Company’s future growth and achieve important technical and commercial milestones.

The Piper Alderman deal team led by partner Lis Boyce, with support from associate Sam Blight, advised AMSL Innovations on the subscription documents, and changes to the Company’s constituent documents.  This required thoughtful negotiation to fairly balance the perspectives of existing and new shareholders contributing to the round and to align the efforts of all shareholders with the success of the Company.
