Piper Alderman advises Symal Group on $12 million acquisition of Ascot Waste Management

Piper Alderman advised its client, Symal Group Limited (ASX:SYL) (Symal), a diversified civil infrastructure and construction business, on the acquisition of the Ascot Waste Management business and related assets.
The acquisition was effected by Symal’s wholly owned subsidiaries, with a total purchase price of $12 million, and further strengthens Symal’s position in the infrastructure and waste management sector, aligning with its strategic growth objectives.
The Piper Alderman deal team was led by Partner James Hill and assisted by Partners Andrew Rankin, Tim Lange and Carlyna Chhen, and Associate Spike Woods.
James and the team worked closely with Symal, advising and acting on all stages of the acquisition process including the negotiation and execution of the term sheet and business sale agreement, and assisting with the coordination of completion which occurred on 4 April 2025.
