Merger of pharmaceutical consulting companies

PharmaLex is part of AmerisourceBergen, a leading global healthcare company with a foundation in pharmaceutical distribution. PharmaLex is a global consultancy providing specialised services for the pharmaceutical, biotech and medtech industries.

Piper Alderman assisted PharmaLex with undertaking legal due diligence of Cpharm’s business operations and prepared the transaction documents for the acquisition of shares in Cpharm. Piper Alderman’s employment team was involved in preparing employment agreements for key employees of the Cpharm business. The property team supported the deal with new lease documentation.

PharmaLex Group’s own merger, with AmerisourceBergen Corporation, was completed partway through the ANZ transaction.

The inclusion of Cpharm in the PharmaLex / AmerisourceBergen Group will expand PharmaLex’s service offering to the life sciences sector, growing its speciality services both in Australia and globally.
