Intellectual Property
Our IP team is centred on providing practical and commercial and representation in both non-contentious and contentious IP settings. We have expertise in all areas of registered and unregistered IP.
We cover the full range of services in IP law and work closely with a diverse array of clients to identify, develop, protect, commercialise and enforce their IP rights. In doing so, we strive to present our clients with options for strategic action which will best meet their immediate and long term aims.
We advise on all IP issues including patents, trade marks, copyright, designs, plant breeders’ rights and confidential information, as well as related issues such as misleading and deceptive conduct and passing-off.
Our clients often benefit from our assistance with drafting and negotiating IP commercialisation agreements including research and collaboration agreements (including related program, project and funding agreements) and IP licence and assignment transactions.
Domain names and the challenging IP issues arising from the use of social media are also an area in which we regularly advise. In addition, we regularly represent clients in initiating, or responding to, a IP disputes and litigation relating to trade marks, patents, registered designs, confidential information, misleading and deceptive conduct and passing-off.
