Piper Alderman elevates new partner and 3 lawyers

Piper Alderman is delighted to announce four promotions across the firm with effect from 1 January 2023, including new partner, Kate Sambrook in Sydney, in the national Dispute Resolution & Litigation team.

Kate joined Piper Alderman in May 2021 as a Senior Associate, working with partner, Martin del Gallego.  Kate specialises in major commercial, corporate and insolvency litigation with a specific focus on class actions and other funded litigation. Over the last 10 years, Kate has acted in a range of high profile and complex disputes involving ASX listed companies, financial services providers and high net worth individuals.

Kate recently co-authored the Australian chapter of Lexology’s Getting the Deal Through: Litigation Funding global guide with partners Martin del Gallego and Greg Whyte and was recognised this year by The Best Lawyers in Australia as ‘One to Watch’ for Alternative Dispute Resolution.

In 2022, Piper Alderman has made six partner appointments including lateral hires Marcus Andrews, Paul Vergotis and Mark Doble in Sydney, Meriel Steadman in Perth, and most recently Ben McLeod and John Wu in Melbourne.
